Our next adventure is fast approaching, and this one promises to be a fantastic evening of challenge, confidenceābuilding, and plenty of fun. As part of our programme, weāll be heading to Alter Rock Climbing Centre in Derby (DE23 8LU) on Monday 9th for a fully instructed climbing session.
šŖ Whatās Planned
Weāve booked a 1.5āhour instructorāled session, giving Scouts the chance to try a range of activities, including:
- Indoor climbing
- Abseiling
- High ropes
- And possibly even some caving
Itās a brilliant opportunity for Scouts to push themselves, learn new skills, and enjoy a memorable evening with the troop.
ā° Timings
- Drop-off: 19:20 at Alter Rock
- Session: 19:30 ā 21:00
- Pick-up: 21:00 at Alter Rock
Please ensure Scouts arrive on time so we can make the most of the session.
š· Cost
The cost for the evening is Ā£10 per Scout.
Payment can be made either:
- By bank transfer to the usual subs account, or
- In cash on the night (please hand this directly to a Scout leader)
ā For Parents Staying
Alter Rock has a comfortable sofa area and drinks available, so parents are welcome to stay and relax during the session if they prefer.
