Summer Camp 2026 – That’s a Wrap

Well, that’s a wrap – Summer Camp 2026 is officially over, and what a camp it was. The leaders had an absolutely brilliant time, and that wouldn’t have been possible without our fantastic Scouts and the support of parents. They were a real credit to you all: polite, helpful, enthusiastic, and smiling from start to finish.

It’s been a fun‑packed few days of adventure, challenge, and memories that we hope will stay with the Scouts for many years to come. Camps like this are what Scouting is all about, and your young people made it something truly special.

We’ll be uploading more camp photos to the website over the next few days, so keep an eye on the blog Page for updates.

Thanks again for your support — enjoy the rest of the summer, and we’ll see everyone in September.

Last minute notes for camp, please can you make sure scouts wear their necker for travel on Thursday as this makes it easy for us to identify when we stop at the services .

Also please make sure scouts also bring a pack lunch for Thursday.

We have also noted a torch was not in the kits list Apologies, please make sure scouts bring one as will be needed.

This is required by the 3rd Party that has been selected by the scout association to provide the Ghyll Scrambling activity, we will need to present these on the day of the activity to allow each scout to partake.

Monday night Archery

Monday night’s session will be held at Drum Hill Scout Campsite for an evening of archery and wide games.

Drop‑off & Pick‑up Times

To keep the evening running smoothly, please note the adjusted timings:

  • Drop‑off: 6:55pm at the main Drum Hill car park
  • Pick‑up: 9:00pm from the same location

These times ensure both archery groups can begin promptly and finish safely.

What Scouts Need to Bring

To help everyone enjoy the evening comfortably and safely:

  • Suitable outdoor clothing — we’ll be outside all night, so please match clothing to the weather
  • Enclosed footwear — no crocs or flip‑flops
  • Long hair tied back — essential for archery safety
  • A drink and a snack — especially helpful during wide games

Activity Overview

Drum Hill instructors will lead the archery sessions, giving Scouts the chance to develop accuracy, confidence, and safe shooting technique. Alongside this, our leaders will run a series of wide games in parallel.

We’re Looking Forward to it.

See you Monday night.
