We’re heading out on a night hike this Monday evening, and we’re looking forward to an exciting evening of exploration, teamwork, and outdoor fun!

🕖 Key Details:

• Drop-off: Severn Wells Car Park at 7:15pm
• Pick-up: Scout Hut at 9:00pm

🎒 What Scouts Need to Bring:

To make sure everyone stays safe and comfortable, please ensure your scout arrives with:

• Sturdy footwear suitable for muddy fields
• Warm, weather-appropriate clothing (layers are ideal!)
• A torch (head torches preferred if available)
• A drink and small snack to keep energy levels up

We’ll be walking across uneven and muddy terrain, so please double-check footwear and clothing before arrival. This is a great opportunity for scouts to build confidence navigating in low light and enjoy the outdoors in a whole new way.

Please note that we’ve made a small adjustment to our upcoming program. The Fireworks evening originally listed for Monday 3rd November has now been rescheduled.

As this is a joint event with the Guides, we’ve worked together to confirm a new date that suits both groups. We’ll now be meeting on Thursday 6th November for this exciting evening.

Just a quick note to let everyone know that the Autumn/Winter term program is now available on the program page of the website, where it can be viewed and downloaded as a PDF file.

Please note that subs for the Autumn/Winter term are now due. We have held at £40 for this term but due to increase in costs in capitation and general activities we will be looking to implement an increase as of January 2026.

All as we noted to the Scouts last week, this Monday we will be at Drum Hill taking part in an evening of wide games.

Please can the Scouts be dropped off at 7:30 and collected at 9:00pm from the main car park. We will be outside all night so the Scouts need to be dressed for the weather.

We suggest the Scouts all bring a drink, and a torch.

We look forward to seeing you at Drum Hill in Monday night.

All just a brief message to let you know Scouts will be starting back on Monday 15th of September.

The program for the winter term will be uploaded to the website later next week along with information ref subs and investitures.
