We will be celebrating this 50 year milestone by combining with Party on the park on Saturday 6th July.
Chris has kindly arranged for a set of celebration badges to be given to all the Scouts to go on the back of the necker, these were given to the scouts on Monday night.
We are looking to get as many of the scouts to be available in their uniform to take part in a photo outside the scout hut at 2pm.
This will also be followed by the official opening of the new sections of the scout hut as 3pm for those who would like to see the new extension is all its glory.
We look forward to seeing many of you on tSaturday at 2pm outside the scout hut.
We are also looking for adult volunteers to support the tea and coffee fundraiser which will be taking place in the hut from 1:30 till 3:30 .
The plan is to open 1:30 to 3:30.
Appreciate everyone is busy but we really do run on a very small group of volunteers, therefore it would be really amazing if anyone could spare an hour to come help me to run the sale (please feel free to bring along your Scouting or Guiding kids to help too!). In addition, any baked items gratefully received (either drop off when dropping off your child the week of POTP in the small meeting room (on the left as you walk in) or bring to the hut on the day)
Every penny we raise goes towards contributing to the facility that we collectively as a community benefit from.
