All as per the previous post we are air rifle shooting at Drum Hill tomorrow night.

Scouts will need dropping of at the main car park at 6:55 for us to start at 7pm and will need collecting at 9pm again from the main car park.

Please remember to email or bring with you the completed approval to shoot form, otherwise your scout will not be able to shoot as this is a legal requirement.

If your scout can’t attend please let us know so we are not waiting around un-necessarily.

All as pre the program the scouts will be air rifle shooting on Monday 18th.

The scouts will need a completed permission to shoot form to enable them to shoot.

Please find a copy of this form below. Please complete and sign the form and email back to us ( Hilton.scouts@gmail.com ) prior to Monday 18th or send a signed copy with your scout on the 18th.

This is a legal requirement and if we do not have a signed copy of the form your scout will not be able to shoot.

All we will be leaving Cosford at just gone 2:30 so expect to be back at the hut between 15:30 and 16:00 probably closer to 15:30 currently according to Google maps.

Snow tubing & tobogganing Mon 27th Nov.

All please find below the details with regards to Snow tubing at Swadlincote next week.

The cost of Snow tubing & tobogganing will be £10 per scout. The scouts will need to be dropped off at the Ski centre at Swadlincote DE11 8LP at 6:45 for a 7pm start. The scouts will then need collecting again between 8:15 & 8:30pm we suggest the scouts wear warm clothing and also bring hats and gloves if it is cold.

Cosford Trip Sat 2nd Dec.

We have now had a number of scouts confirm they are attending Cosford if you are yet to email please can you confirm if you scout will be attending by Sunday 26th Nov.

The arrangements for the Cosford trip are below:-

Scouts will need to arrive at the scout hut at 9:15am on the 2nd Dec ready for leaving at 9:30.

The scouts will need to bring with them a pack lunch (please make sure these do not include any nut based products)

We will return the scouts back to the hut ready for collection at 4pm (if this is delayed due to traffic we will update the website blogs with revised ETA’s)

There will be a shop at Cosford so feel free to send your scouts with a small amount of money if they would like to buy a souvenir.

We are also happy for scouts to bring cameras or phones with cameras to record their visit however these are brought at their own risk.

There will be no charge for this activity.

Details with regards snow tubing next week and the Visit to Cosford on the 2nd Dec will follow later this week.

It would be really useful if the scouts could bing a calculator or phone with calculator on for tomorrow nights Air Navigation evening.

Also could you please confirm via email to Hilton.scouts@gmail.com if you child will be attending the trip to Cosford Air museum on the 2nd of Dec so we can sort transport.

All due to activity availability we have had to move the program around. We will now be at the Hut on Monday night completing the Air Navigation badge not at Drum Hill doing air rifle shooting.

Air rifle shooting will now take place later on in the term, we will be updating the program to reflect this change shortly.

Good evening,

We will be at megazone in Derby on Monday night. We will be starting at 7pm so we need the Scouts to be there by 6.50pm. They will have three games and will be given a drink in between. We are due to be finished by 8.20pm.

There is a cost of £5 for this activity. Please could you either bring cash on the night or transfer the money to our account before Monday evening.

The Scouts do not need to be in uniform.

The postcode for Megazone is DE1 3NZ and it is in Willows sports centre for those who haven’t been before.

We will be doing investitures of all the new Scouts tonight. Parents are welcome to come and watch. We will do them at the start of the night at 7.30 and it will take about 15 minutes.
