Dear All,
As you may recall over the last few months the Scout Hut has been requesting volunteer help and donations to support fundraising for the Scout & Guide Hut. The hut is an integral part to our children’s Scout & Guiding experience and due to the loss of regular hirers has been running at a loss.
We’re pleased to report that thanks to your help and support the car boot (in Dec) raised £350 to put towards the running of the hut. This, combined with the resumption of one off bookings has meant that we are now back in the black!
We cannot rest on our laurels however, and need to continue our efforts this year. Plans are afoot to make the car boot a regular, quarterly occurrence (next one in planning for Sun March 26th) with additional family fundraising activities being discussed.
