Please find below a letter from the scout group fundraising team. We would be grateful for any support possible.
Dear Parents,
You may recall some weeks ago we asked for volunteers to help to organise the indoor car boot at the hut in order to raise much needed funds for the running of the building. To confirm, this is still an issue, we are running at a loss and therefore if we do not pull together this valuable asset to our groups is at risk.
How can you help? We are in need of the following if you can pls help it will really will make a big difference:
1. Scouts to volunteer on the day (in uniform pls) – to assist with the running of the event (showing sellers to their tables, selling cakes, washing up etc). This activity could go towards volunteering badges?
2. Parent volunteers on the day to help take the entrance fee, sell teas and coffees, tidy up after,
3. Donations of cakes/biscuits/mince pies to sell on the day! These can be donated if shop purchased (and left in the little room at the scout hut) the week of the event or if you or your Scout would like to make some then drop off Friday evening 5-5:30 (2nd December) or Saturday 9-10am.
The car boot is Indoors and doors open at 9 for vendors and will run from 10 till 2. Even if you/the kids can give an hour of your time it really will help.
We’ve already raised a good amount from table sales and interest has been really high. We just need some extra hands now to help the event fly on the day.
Many thanks for your support in advance
