All we are pleased to be able to announce we are now able to restart face to face scout meetings, following our Return to face to face meetings COVID19 risk assessment being approved by our executive community and district.
There will be a number of differences / changes to how scouts is run due to compliance with government regulations etc. This is all detailed in our return to scouts letter which can be downloaded via the below link and will also be e-mailed to you. We ask that you all read this carefully and share the content with your child so they are also aware of the changes and what rules etc they need to follow during scout evenings for the foreseeable future.
The program from now until Christmas has been uploaded to the program page of the website. You will note on this that we are having to split the troop in to two groups A & B, as we are only allowed a maximum of 15 scouts in the Hut at any one meeting. However when outside we can all attend but will remain in the two groups with a minimum of 25m distance between the two groups during the evening.
The program for this term is focused on the creative challenge badge and if the scouts complete all of the activities they will be awarded the challenge badge in January.
We will be emailing out your child’s group shortly, and we will be adding blog posts with details of the activities for the home weeks. We have tried to arrange the program so every scout will get 2 in every 3 weeks at the Hut / at an outdoor event and 1 home week.
