Following the latest guidance from Scout HQ, which was released late last week we are hoping to restart face to face Scout meetings shortly. Naturally there are a number of guidelines we have to follow and we are currently completing our COVID19 Risk Assessment which will be available on this website once it has been signed off to enable us to action these meetings in a safe manner.
The main points to note are that we will be limited to a maximum of 15 scouts at a time in a meeting indoors and all Scouts must wear face masks at all times when indoors.
We will be planning a program to accommodate all scouts whilst adhering to these prescribed numbers. Thus we would ask that you e-mail hilton.scouts@gmail.com before 10pm on Friday 11th September to confirm whether your son/daughter will be returning to Scouts. This will then enable us to confirm troop numbers and plan the best way to group the Scouts to enable us to continue with an interactive program.
Unfortunately those who have turned 14 during the time we have been in Lockdown and unable to run Scout activities are now too old for Scouts and thus will not be able to return. We wish you well and hope that you may continue in scouting with Explorer scouts, Please feel free to contact us if you would like the contact details of the local Explorer Group.
To be able to effectively conduct track and trace if a member within the group contracts COVID19, we also need to make sure all our contact details are up to date, thus we ask that you complete the Scouts Information form 2020 pdf link below and return to us by email as soon as possible, as we will require this prior to your Son / Daughter attending sessions.
